Mollayo Farm

Pasture-raised poultry on the Olympic Peninsula in Port Townsend, WA.

About Our Poultry.

We raise Freedom Ranger chickens and White Holland turkeys. (Unfortunately, our hatchery was unable to hatch White Hollands this year, so we will be raising Broad Breasted Whites). Our slower-growing, pasture-raised chickens develop rich flavors and have darker meat than the standard commerical breeds. We choose breeds for their health, vitality, and the quality of meat they produce. Our birds enjoy an organic and non-GMO feed from In-Season Farm in B.C. and plenty of forage from pasture, resulting in meat that is not only tastier but packed with essential vitamins and nutrients. Compared to conventional poultry, ours have better fat quality and increased levels of omega-3 fatty acids, vitamins A and E, and other crucial nutrients that contribute to a healthier diet.

About The Farm.

Mollayo Farm is a small-scale woman-owned and operated farm on the Olympic Peninsula. We are in our 2nd year of operation. Your farmer-owner is Theresa Kim, a first-generation Korean-American. After completing a farming apprenticeship in Ohio, and a permaculture internship in Colorado, she moved to the Olympic Peninsula in 2016. She spent several years in various farm roles, running farmers' markets, managing harvest crews, propagating, data tracking, and more. Our poultry are raised outdoors, on pasture all the days of their lives. This reduces stress and disease, ensuring a happy life for the birds and a superior product for our customers.
